| | | 2) | Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. |

|
| 24) | Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: |
25) | And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. |
26) | And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: |
27) | And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. |
|
|
|
| 4) | Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. |
5) | Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. |
6) | Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. |
7) | And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. |
8) | Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. |
9) | Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. |
10) | But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. |
11) | Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. |
12) | I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. |
13) | I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. |
|
|
|
| 15) | Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. |
16) | Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? |
17) | Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. |
18) | A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. |
19) | Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. |
20) | Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. |
21) | Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. |
|
|
|
| 4) | Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. |
5) | For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: |
6) | Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. |
7) | For he that is dead is freed from sin. |
8) | Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: |
9) | Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. |
10) | For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. |
11) | Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. |
12) | Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. |
13) | Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. |
14) | For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. |
15) | What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. |
16) | Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? |
17) | But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. |
18) | Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. |
