Answer
·  What is required of me to perform marriage?

Before performing a marriage, you must first be authorized to do so. In most states, simply being an ordained minister is sufficient. A few locations do require ministers to register with the government before performing marriage.

There are Provinces in Canada that do not accept out ordinations for allowing ministers to officiate weddings. Other locations around the world may have special requirements. Always check with the department in your area that issues marriage licenses to see if they will accept your ordination before performing a wedding. Do not perform a wedding unless and until you are certain in advance of acceptance.

·  Are your ordinations legal?

Yes, our ordinations are fully legal. We are a State-registered non-profit corporation (view the documentation on the "About Us" page). Bear in mind that an ordination is simply an appointment conferred by a church body. The practice of administering ordinations is protected by the 1st Amendment.

·  How long does it take to become a minister?

Your ordination is instantaneous.

·  How much does ordination cost?

Our ordination is free. You will be listed on our roster of ministers (on this site and our other church-related sites), and may create a free information page and personal blog, if you choose.

·  Do your ordinations expire?

Our ordinations do not expire. Your ordination is valid as long as you wish it to be, by your choice. Note that your letter of good standing may expire, but when it does, you can print another one from the site. We reserve the right to change these free updates to a paid service, but we are not planning to do so at the present time.

·  Do your ordinations grant tax exemptions?

No. Our ordinations are not intended as a tax shelter. They are an important part of any non-profit ministry, along with the appropriate registrations through local, state and federal tax entities. Should you wish to become a non-profit ministry, we recommend you consult with a CPA and/or lawyer.

·  You ordain people for free, so how do you support the ministry?

You support us when you make a purchase in the church store. Your offerings are a token of thanks that have utility and commemorate a special event.

·  What is a Letter of Good Standing?

A Letter of Good Standing is simply a dated letter, signed by a church officer, stating that the minister in question is in good standing with our organization.

·  What is a marriage certificate?

Our marriage certificates are decorative documents for the couple to keep, commemorating their wedding day.

·  Is my order secure?

Yes. For your safety, we collect the bare minimum personal information. All payments go thru PayPal, and they handle your personal information. Note that you may use your credit card through PayPal without signing up for a PayPal account.

·  What are the payment options available?

You can pay using Visa, MasterCard, Discover and AMEX credit cards, along with PayPal. Credit card payments are through PayPal, but do not require you to create a PayPal account.

·  What method of shipment is used?

All items are shipped via USPS. USPS does not offer tracking of our outgoing mail. To ensure you we have shipped, we photograph all orders before and on the same day as we send them to post. These photos are date-stamped. When you order with us, you agree to accept a digital copy of this photo as proof of delivery. We will gladly re-ship an order you report as not received, after a reasonable period of time has gone by.

·  How long does it take to receive an order?

Without taking holidays and weekends into account, delivery can take from 3 to 10 business days. It can be longer in some parts of the world. This is due entirely to the postal services involved. We will absolutely have your order in the post within 2 working days after we receive it.

Our customers are very important to us, and we reply to every message we receive. Almost all of these emails go through without a problem. If, after you complete the "Contact Us" form, you do not receive an email in reply, check that your ISP or e-mail client are not blocking the emails that we send you.
