| | | 47) | Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: |
| 48) | He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. |

| | 3) | And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. |
| 4) | He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. |

| 4) | Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you: |
| 5) | Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead. |
