| | | 11) | For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. |
12) | Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. |
13) | And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. |
14) | And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive. |

| 1) | And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; |
2) | Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: |
3) | And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. |
4) | And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; |
5) | Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. |
6) | And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. |
7) | And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? |
8) | I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? |
|
|
|
| 4) | Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. |
5) | Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. |
6) | Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. |
7) | And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. |
8) | Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. |
9) | Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. |
10) | But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. |
11) | Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. |
12) | I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. |
13) | I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. |
|
|
|
| 1) | I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; |
|
|
|
| 6) | But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. |
7) | But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. |
8) | Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. |
