| Meekness, Humility, Gentleness |
| | 1) | Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. |
2) | Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. |
3) | For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. |
4) | But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. |
5) | For every man shall bear his own burden. |
|
|
|
| 12) | Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; |
13) | Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. |
14) | And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. |
15) | And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. |
16) | Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. |
17) | And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. |

| 1) | Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; |
2) | While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. |
3) | Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; |
4) | But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. |
5) | For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands: |
|
|
|
| 28) | Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. |
29) | Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. |
30) | For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. |

| 3) | Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God; |
4) | He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself. |
5) | After that he poureth water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded. |
6) | Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? |
7) | Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. |
8) | Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. |
12) | So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? |
13) | Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. |
14) | If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. |
15) | For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. |
16) | Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. |
17) | If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them. |
