| | | 13) | But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: |

| 28) | And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? |
29) | And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: |
30) | And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. |
31) | And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. |
| 9) | The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. |
| 2) | The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. |
| 10) | Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. |
11) | Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish. |
12) | Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought. |
13) | For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. |
