| Comfort and Times of Trouble |
| | 25) | The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe. |
| 39) | But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble. |
40) | And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him. |
| 2) | When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. |
3) | For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee. |
| 3) | Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. |
4) | Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. |
5) | Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. |
6) | Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. |
10) | Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. |
11) | Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. |
12) | Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. |
| 31) | For the Lord will not cast off for ever: |
32) | But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies. |
33) | For he doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men. |
