| | | 7) | The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. |
|
|
|
| Ephesians 5:3-9,11-14,18-19 | |
3) | But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; |
4) | Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. |
5) | For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. |
6) | Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. |
7) | Be not ye therefore partakers with them. |
8) | For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: |
9) | (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) |
11) | And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. |
12) | For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. |
13) | But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. |
14) | Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. |
18) | And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; |
19) | Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; |
|
|
|
| 20) | He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. |
|
|
|
| 1) | Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. |
2) | But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. |
3) | And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. |
4) | The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. |
5) | Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. |
6) | For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. |
|
|
|
| 1) | I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. |
2) | And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. |
3) | For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. |
4) | For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: |
5) | So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. |
6) | Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; |
7) | Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; |
8) | Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness. |
9) | Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. |
10) | Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; |
