| | | 4) | Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. |
5) | For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: |
6) | Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. |
7) | For he that is dead is freed from sin. |
8) | Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: |
9) | Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. |
10) | For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. |
11) | Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. |
12) | Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. |
13) | Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. |
14) | For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. |
15) | What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. |
16) | Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? |
17) | But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. |
18) | Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. |

| 1) | From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? |
2) | Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. |
3) | Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. |
4) | Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. |
5) | Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? |
6) | But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. |
7) | Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. |
8) | Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. |

|
| 13) | Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: |
14) | But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. |
15) | Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. |
16) | Do not err, my beloved brethren. |
17) | Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. |

| Galatians 5:5,16-18,22-25 | |
5) | For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. |
16) | This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. |
17) | For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. |
18) | But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. |
22) | But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, |
23) | Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. |
24) | And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. |
25) | If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. |

| 15) | He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil; |
16) | He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure. |
