| | 19) | Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, |
20) | Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, |
21) | Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. |
| 16) | Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: |
17) | Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. |
18) | Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, |
19) | And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God. |
20) | Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, |
21) | (Touch not; taste not; handle not; |
22) | Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men? |
23) | Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh. |
| 7) | In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, |
8) | Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you. |
12) | Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; |
13) | Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; |
| 28) | And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? |
29) | And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: |
30) | And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. |
31) | And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. |
| 8) | For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. |
9) | And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. |
10) | As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. |
