| | | | 35) | Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward. |
| 36) | For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. |
| 37) | For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. |
| 38) | Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. |

| | 20) | For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God. |
| 21) | For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: |

| | 7) | Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. |
| 8) | Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. |
| 9) | Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door. |

| | 7) | But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. |
| 8) | But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. |
| 9) | The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. |
