About the Church
We Believe that the doctrine (teachings) that the apostles taught are indeed the doctrines (teachings) of Jesus Christ. We Believe that every believer ought to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ even as they were demonstrated by Christ and his disciples. We Believe every believer should maintain an apostolic lifestyle as the apostles demonstrated and Jesus both demonstrated and commanded (Matthew 28:19 -20, Mark 16:15-20, Acts 2:38-42, Acts 16:4-5, Colossians 1:22-29). We Believe in the Oneness of God. (Colossians 2:8-10) We believe that Jesus is God (John 1:1-3, John 8:58, John 10:30). We believe that in Jesus dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Colossians 1: 15-20, Colossians 2:8-10). We believe that Jesus is the ONLY way to salvation and redemption (John 10:1-10, John 14:6,7,10-11, Acts 4:12). We believe in the necessity of Baptism for Salvation (Mark 16:16, 1 Peter 3:21). We believe in One Baptism [In Jesus Name] (Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38, Acts 4:12, Acts 8:13-16, Acts 10:47-48, Acts 19:3-5, Ephesians 4:5)- We believe that both water and spirit (John 3:5) bears witness to the oneness of baptism (1 John 5: 7-8). We believe the baptism of the Holy Ghost(Spirit) is available to the believer (John 7:38-39). We believe that the infilling(baptism) of the Holy Ghost is ESSENTIAL for the believer (John 3:5, Acts 19:2). We believe that the initial evidence of the Holy Ghost is speaking in tongues as the spirit of God gives utterance (Isaiah 28:11, Acts 2:1-5, Acts 10:44-47, Acts 11:15, Acts 19:2-8). Again, we believe that water Baptism in Jesus Name and the infilling of the Holy Ghost is one baptism. We believe that Holiness is RIGHT (Leviticus 20:26, Isaiah 35:8, 2 Corinthians 6:17, 1 Peter 1:16); and essential to make it to heaven (2 Corinthians 6:17, Hebrews 12:14). We believe in the gifts of the spirit (1 Corinthians 12:4-11, as well as the gifts to the church (1 Corinthians 12: 27-31, *Ephesians 4:8,11-13*). We believe in the UNITY of the Church (*Psalm 133:1*, 1 Corinthians 12: 12-13, Ephesians 4:5, *Ephesians 4:11-13*). We believe that "denominations" are reminiscent of the divisions spoken of in 1 Corinthians 3:3-5, and 1 Corinthians 11: 18-19. We believe that the Church Building ( the tabernacle of congregation) is a sanctuary: sanctified, Holy Ground -(Isaiah 56:7, Matthew 21:13). Come to the house of the Lord to be debriefed and RECHARGED!

Pastor Julian E. Spires is a Graduate of Temple University's Boyer College Of Music. Throughout his academic career, growing in his gift as a musician and musical director, he has been blessed to perform with many well-knowns and legends including Patti LaBelle, Earth Wind and Fire, Smokey Robinson, Herbie Hancock, Jessica Reedy, and many others.     Along with this blessing and not to be minimized, he is an academic national scholar and member of the National Honors Society.     What is most important about Pastor Spires is that he is Saved, Baptized in Jesus Name, filled with the Holy Ghost and that of a mighty burning fire!         Having a heart for the youth, under the leadership of his father Bishop MJ Spires [The Gospel Revival Church] Pastor Spires took up the responsibility of leading the school's Christian ministry and Bible Study Group (Duke Remnant) at Duke Ellington School of the Arts High School for 3 years.  While in college, Pastor  Spires served as Chaplain for Temple Gospel Ministries which provides services in the form of choir, dance ministry, community service, Bible study(ies) and monthly Worship services on campus. On October 6th 2017, Pastor Spires answered the call to the pastorate founding United Tabernacle of Praise.          Hearkening to the mandate to "Cry aloud and spare not", Pastor Spires continues to proclaim what thus saith the Lord for the perfecting of the Church and unifying of the Body of Christ
