| | | 3) | For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. |
4) | But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, |
5) | Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; |
6) | Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; |

| 23) | Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. |
24) | Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart. |

| 34) | O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever. |

| 11) | Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel? |
