| | | 1) | Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. |
2) | For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus. |
3) | For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: |
4) | That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; |
5) | Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God: |
6) | That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified. |
7) | For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. |
8) | He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit. |

| 1) | Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. |
2) | But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. |
3) | And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. |
4) | The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. |
5) | Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. |
6) | For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. |
| 14) | For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: |
15) | But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. |
| 15) | Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. |
16) | Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. |
| 11) | The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression. |
