| | 47) | Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: |
48) | He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. |

| 3) | And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. |
4) | He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. |
5) | But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. |
6) | He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. |
15) | Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. |
16) | For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. |
17) | And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. |

|
| 1) | Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; |
2) | That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. |
3) | For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: |
4) | Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you: |
5) | Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead. |
|
|
|
| 5) | Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee. |
6) | Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him. |
|
|
|
| 31) | Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; |
32) | And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. |
51) | Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death. |
