| | | 1) | A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; |
3) | Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. |
| 34) | And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. |
35) | For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. |
36) | For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? |
37) | Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? |
| 9) | Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not. |
10) | So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do. |
| 23) | And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; |
24) | Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. |
| 2) | Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. |
