| | | | 51) | Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, |
| 52) | In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. |
| 53) | For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. |
| 54) | So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. |
| 55) | O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? |

| | 8) | For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. |
| 9) | And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. |
| 10) | As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. |

| | 10) | But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. |
| 11) | To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. |

| | 3) | According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: |
| 4) | Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. |
| 5) | And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; |
| 6) | And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; |
| 7) | And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. |
| 8) | For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. |
| 9) | But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. |
| 10) | Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: |
| 11) | For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. |

| | 3) | And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. |
| 4) | He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. |
| 5) | But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. |
| 6) | He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. |
| 15) | Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. |
| 16) | For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. |
| 17) | And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. |
