| | | 7) | When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him. |
| 25) | The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe. |
| 17) | But I will deliver thee in that day, saith the LORD: and thou shalt not be given into the hand of the men of whom thou art afraid. |
18) | For I will surely deliver thee, and thou shalt not fall by the sword, but thy life shall be for a prey unto thee: because thou hast put thy trust in me, saith the LORD. |
| 1) | And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; |
2) | Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: |
3) | And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. |
4) | And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; |
5) | Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. |
6) | And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. |
7) | And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? |
8) | I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? |
| 14) | Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. |
17) | Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. |
18) | If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. |
19) | Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. |
20) | Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. |
21) | Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. |
