| | | 11) | Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. |
12) | For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. |
13) | Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. |
14) | Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; |
15) | And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; |
16) | Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. |
17) | And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: |
|
|
|
| 14) | Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; |
15) | And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. |
16) | For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. |
|
|
|
| 13) | Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. |
14) | But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. |
15) | This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. |
16) | For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. |
17) | But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. |
18) | And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. |

| 1) | From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? |
2) | Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. |
3) | Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. |
4) | Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. |
5) | Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? |
6) | But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. |
7) | Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. |
8) | Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. |
|
|
|
| 8) | Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: |
9) | Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. |
