| Baptism & Gifts of the Spirit |
| | 3) | According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: |
4) | Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. |
5) | And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; |
6) | And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; |
7) | And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. |
8) | For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. |
9) | But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. |
10) | Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: |
11) | For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. |
| 38) | Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. |
39) | For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. |
| 3) | Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, |
4) | To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, |
5) | Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. |
6) | Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: |
23) | Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. |
| 18) | But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. |
| 3) | For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring: |
