| | | | 15) | Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. |
| 16) | Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? |
| 17) | Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. |
| 18) | A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. |
| 19) | Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. |
| 20) | Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. |
| 21) | Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. |

| | 1) | And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins: |
| 2) | Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: |
| 3) | Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. |
| 4) | But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, |
| 5) | Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) |
| 6) | And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: |
| 7) | That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. |
| 8) | For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: |
| 9) | Not of works, lest any man should boast. |

| | 4) | By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life. |

| | 6) | Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: |

| | 6) | Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. |
| 8) | He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. |
| 9) | Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. |
| 10) | In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. |
| 11) | For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. |
| 12) | Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous. |
| 13) | Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you. |
| 14) | We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. |
| 15) | Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. |
| 16) | Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. |
| 17) | But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? |
| 18) | My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. |
| 19) | And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. |
| 20) | For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. |
| 21) | Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. |
