| About the Church | | Autumn Hills provide equine-assisted therapy and wilderness therapy camps with a Christian foundation.
As broken and hurt human beings, we often find it difficult to trust others, including God. Through pastoral equine-assisted activities the individual is taught to trust not only the horse, but also the Creator. As the picture suggests our ministry is often to people who don’t put much faith in churches or preachers. We therefore teach spiritual life lessons while using gentle techniques as part of equine-assisted activities.
These camps involve one week/weekend of absolute fun in a safe, Christian and supportive environment where campers experience adventure and inspiration while building character and confidence.
Horse and Bible Day Camp - Autumn Hills provides a Day Camp during the summer months. Each child is assigned a horse and must learn how to take care of him or her. The camp provides Bible Studies, Crafts, Games, Hiking, Music, etc. All proceeds go to help sponsor more unfortunate children and to further develop Autumn Hills Ministries. A limited attendance of 20 Cowboys or Cowgirls. Camp Times 8am – 3pm (Early drop off on Request and Late pickup on request.)
These camps are aimed at troubled teenagers. These outdoor spiritual and behavioral services are ideal for adolescents (12-17) and young adults (18+) struggling with lack of motivation, defiance, mild mood disorders, drug and alcohol experimentation, internet addiction, and other self-defeating behaviors. This idea permeates our philosophy and our evidence-based therapeutic approach, which addresses the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual aspects of a child's life.
We have also have special camps for overweight teenagers. We're a summer camp to lose weight, but here weight loss is only one of our awesome programs. These camps are focused on building self-esteem, learning to take care of ourselves and live life to the fullest by becoming the best ME I can be. This is not a diet camp or a boot camp. |
